Don Michele is a family-run Italian restaurant, situated in the cosmopolitan west end of Dundee. The dedicated team delight in creating authentic Italian cuisine, with a varied menu that offers something to suit everyone. A popular lunch menu offers two courses for £7.95, or three courses for £10.95. Should you opt for Don Michele’s special menu, each couple will receive a bottle of wine for free. Start with something familiar like a pate della casa, chicken liver pate served with crusty bread, or something more traditional, like suppli della casa – saffron rice balls coated in breadcrumbs, with a mozzarella filling and delicious tomato sauce. To follow, try the salmone al cartoccio, a salmon fillet with mussels and prawns cooked in a delicious white wine sauce, or fettina di maiale alla marsala, a pan-fried piece of pork cooked with marsala wine. To finish? It couldn’t be anything other than traditional tiramisu, of course. Whether it’s for a romantic occasion, a large party or a corporate event, Don Michele is the perfect spot in which to enjoy hearty Italian food the way it should be: fresh, authentic and bursting with flavour.

Had booked a table here for tea, we were warmly greeted when we arrived a wee bit early, seated quickly in a table of our chosing and allowed to settle down with the menus. Service was attentive and food was excellent. Restaurant was very busy with both people sitting in and takeaway. Will visit again.
